The Museum of Carpet is looking for experienced power loom weavers who would like to demonstrate their skills to Museum visitors. 

We are proud to keep the tradition of weaving carpet alive in the town of Kidderminster.  Our Spool Axminster and Jacquard Wilton Looms are run at midday for around 3 minutes.  The looms are the centre piece of the Museum galleries and create a buzz in the building whenever they come to life.  Without our team of volunteer weavers this would not be possible.

Suitable candidates should be:

• Available one morning a week for one hour from 11.30am.
• A fully trained weaver or tuner.
• Friendly and personable character who is happy to talk to visitors and engage with school groups.
• Able to work in a team contributing to weaving that will be worked on by a number of weavers.
