Do you love talking with visitors about the history of Kidderminster or the carpet industry? Are you friendly and an enthusiastic? We are always looking for volunteers to chat with visitors about our galleries. You will play a big part in bringing the museum to life and inspiring visitors. If this sounds like you please get in touch!

Whats involved?

• To provide a warm welcome to visitors and show them around the museum.
• Engaging visitors with history, museum exhibits and wider Kidderminster history.
• Researching and learning content for each gallery in the museum.
• Helping direct visitors around the museum so they get the most out of their visit.
• Assisting people with disabilities to access information and interpretation.
• Evacuating visitors in an emergency.
• Help protect the exhibits and collections during opening hours.

During quiet times keep busy by helping to make items to sell in our shop, keeping the galleries clean and tidy, researching the carpet industry or helping with other ongoing projects.
