Christmas calligraphy

Are you interested in learning how to use a dip pen to create lovely hand lettering? This is a beginner’s workshop led by Alice (Alice Draws the Line), covering an introduction to modern calligraphy where you learn the basic techniques and have fun experimenting with your new skill. 

With Christmas on the horizon we can think about possible Christmas card designs or gift tags for presents.

Tickets are £40 and all kit is included, and yours to keep.

watercolour wreaths

A bite-sized introduction led by Alice (Alice Draws the Line), into the medium of watercolour. During the two hour workshop we play with basic watercolour techniques and start to build confidence using the paint and brush.

We keep things simple and only working with the colour green (as this is close to Christmas we can include a bit of red and gold should you fancy!). We do a little bit of colour mixing within the workshop but we do it while limiting the palette. As we build up confidence with using the paint we start to create leaf shapes and botanical motifs and play with combining these different shapes together to make a watercolour wreath.
