The Museum of Carpet holds a large collection of artefacts, from hand-painted carpet designs, a wide ranging library, the Kidderminster Shuttle archive, portraits to rare carpets. We always need volunteers to help cataloguing items on our system, researching, and caring for our collection. Full training will be provided.
1. To undertake training in CALM in order to input collection information when appropriate.
2. Ensure that all rules and procedures are followed when using the library, archive store and archive materials.
3. Ensure that personal log in codes for CALM are kept secure
4. Report to the Collections and Archive Manager with queries and for instructions.
5. Be responsible for the care of objects in your care whilst working in the museum, and at offsite storage locations.
6. Read and understand the policies connected with Collections Care, Emergency Procedures and Accepting Donations.
7. To follow safety precautions whilst working in off-site storage locations.
