The Museum of Carpet is run by a charity, the Carpet Museum Trust, which in turn is supported by the Friends of the Carpet Museum.

It is staffed entirely by volunteers, all of whom will be delighted to see you when you visit.

We aim to host a wide range of activities, events and workshops throughout the year.  Do follow us on social media to see what’s going on!

Visit our shop for wonderful local books, souvenirs and not forgetting our rugs, woven on our power looms here at the museum.

Behind the scenes, we hold a large collection of images and records relating to the town’s carpet industry and can assist you with copyright and reproduction requests.
